Hi. I'm getting back into walking after being away from it for too long! Is there anyone on here local?

The other half enjoys walks but isn't to keen on the multiday sessions. So I'm looking for a group that wanders locally but also disapears to do some serious walking every now and again.

You have a local walkers group that is Rambler's affiliated, but that does not mean you cannot go out with them if you are not in the Ramblers. Check out the main Rambler's website for the local groups lists, and the proposed walks lists, and you will see there are a good few walks near you fairly soon.

Thanks for that Trev.

I met with the local ramblers group today and had a very nice wander around the Weald.

Cheers for the pointer Trev, would of done it sooner but for the fact that the day after you gave me this info I broke my little toe on the other half's sewing machine (ouch!).

Ouch! For sure there then, but I do hope it is getting better now though!
