I am trying to work out which mains power adapters I need to take to Nepal. Searching on the web suggests that both the European (2 pin) and Indian (3 round pin, like the old UK standard) may be used.

I have a European adapter, but has anyone visited Nepal and found that the Indian type is required, or is the European one sufficient?

I'm trying to work out whether it's worth buying an Indian adapter as well.

yeah you can buy that stuff much cheaper out there and very easily available in katters
