hi there,

im off to mallorca in a we while i was wondering if i could get some advice on picking up some gas(we shall be taking the camping gaz pierceable stove). never been to spain before and we shall have a few hours in parma before we travel up in the mountains. would be helpful if we can locate a outdoor/hardwear shop and supermarket straight away rather than rushing all over the place. cheers tim

I take it you mean Palma?

There is an Intersport shop in Palma where you can get both pierceable and screw in gas cartridges.

Most ironmongers sell them too.

A couple of central supermarkets are there but the names escape me; try a Google Maps search.

Intersport:

There is also a 'proper' outdoor store in the middle of Palma, down one of the poky alleyways between the Cathedral and the Placa Espanya. Can't remember the name of it, or the name of the street it's on, but it was full of genuine outdoor kit.
