Scarpa's New Manta Loses Weight
New Manta GSB weights 10 per-cent less, plus buy GSB crampons at the same time and save some wedge.

Why doesn't Grivel make extension bars available?  The AirTech GSB does not fit a size 46 Manta despite what it says on the box.

Grivel extension bars up to size 49/50 available from Needlesports, towards the foot of the page. I'm not sure if they hold stock or order them in but their service is always good.

Or is the issue that you'd have to buy the longer bar separately rather than have the crampons supplied with it....?

Snow & Rock can get hold of extension bars at a cost of £19.95 but this makes a joke of the combined GSB boot crampon offer. I'm not going to stump any money before I've tried the boots & crampons together anyway.  I've tried matching various Grivel crampons to my old Manta boots before and never bought them because they didn't fit, I also found out that the old Manta was never B2/C2 compatible (tho it was a good boot otherwise).

Cotswold Outdoors are trying to get some to include in the price. Come on Grivel, get your sh** together, how hard is it to make a pressed steel plate available to support sales of your new product!

Beware if you are a current Manta wearer. This boot is different from the last and built on a different er, last (sorry for the repeated word). I've just bought a pair and now need a volume reducer in my left boot whereas I always managed to buy a 44 and have them fit both feet nicely.

The reducer works fine but I'd advise anyone about to buy that they try them on first rather than thinking that they are the same basic boot as the old Manta.

I just got a pair of 46's and the nice man in Tiso's gave me the longer bar for em without charging me.

I bought the last version of the Manta, cost much less than new boot. The GSB system looks like a good idea but I'll give it a miss as it seems as tho it is still being developed, what happens when the boot sole wears?
