Crackin shots Didster - looks like a good night was had.
How much Wodka?
Was perfect conditions i didnt want to get in the tent and a headtorch was not needed outside because of the moon.I even walked upto the trig and phoned the wifey and shon my torch in the direction of my house some 10 mile away and she could see it ,sad i know but i always do it when visability is good.
Not too much i have to say, i only drank half of what i had as i fell asleep a bit early as i had been up since 2.30 am that day .
it is also worth notingthat cold air sinks (to the valleys)so although you were very cold on the campsite you probably would not have been as cold higher up.
Diddy TD. Morse Code <cold> was it that night. Good advice though on pitch selection.
MattW. Did you say Bank of Wife<or life>.Some really good advice here Matt,Diddys advice on pitch selection well worth considering. Not so important with good kit . Its about priorities really, from acost veiw1 Ground Protection, foam is first, one full length one half, half can be used on day stops. 2 Sleeping Bag, extra thermals and long johns just for night wear work wonder, dont be tempted to use as day wear. 3 Tent only money can help here, after you;ve taken Diddys advice. If your keen you;ll get there Best of Luck. Happy Backpacking.
