Hey Guys, One of my new years resolutions this year is to be more outdoorsy. Ive decided to take up a little hunting and camping. Does anyone know of anywhere on the internet that has a realistic hunting experience that you can play? something I can do at work, haha? Also, any advice for someone who has a hard time sleeping unless its completely quiet? Thanks. B.Birdshoes

Mmm. Internet setting of purse nets & snares? No, can't think of any.

Re sleeping. Single malt and earplugs?

What sort of hunting Bessie Birdshoes? PS: recommend sleeping at home.

Welcome to the OM forum there BB! Are you perhaps an American poster there perhaps please? Only this being a British outdoors site we do not tend to class hunting as an outdoors activity here you see, as they do over the pond in the USA. We are however good with help and advice on camping though for sure!

Your chemist/drug store will sell you earplugs to help you sleep outdoors, if you're bothered by night noises.

Please do not feed the troll

You took the words out of my mouth Michael! Presumably the OP is easily woken by the clip clopping of goats going over the bridge she is sleeping under and wants to know the best way to hunt them!
Trev, you can be SO innocent at times!
I like to err on the side of caution. On the survival forum I used to post on I spoke out like you all are here, on a first post similar to the OP's; and it turned out that it was simply a small-town American posting, not realising we were a British site and not an American one. They wanted to talk survival weapons and guns you see!

On the basis of one single first post from a new poster I tend to give them the benefit of the doubt is all folks! I think that is only fair!

"we do not tend to class hunting as an outdoors activity here" Erm.. don't you find it makes a mess of the furniture chasing pheasants around your living room with a shotgun?
Steve - I think you're being a little disingenuous there. Motoring tends to be an outside activity, as is sailing, mountain biking, paragliding, star-gazing, archeaology, gardening, hanging out washing, and dogging, to name but a few. But they really aren't the sort of things that this site caters too, are they?

Boots or trail shoes for dogging?... discuss.
That's more like it! Boots for traditional dogging, trail shoes for lightweight, and bare feet for SUL.
Surely not! Paw pads for dogging I would have thought!
