Well, surely they didn't have to go and colour it like a pine cone as well! Dohh! Before anyone asks, yes, I have indeed seen pine cones in that brightish orange kind of a colour there too!

Sounds more Star Trek than pine cone. And they all wore rather primary colours in Star Trek.

You're right! I was looking just at the bright colour Kate! I hadn't noticed the Next Gen looking black shoulder sections there, very Star Trek isn't it really!

That's the best colour for an outdoor jacket. When I was about ten I saw a Mammut advertisement for a jacket that was bright orange, had Extreme written on it, and the guy dressed in aforesaid atire was pretty hardcore-looking. I'm a bit of a Mammut addict but the orange blue combies are too much for my taste... I stick to the lava red with black combies or all black.

I can't stand the current trend for dayglow clothing....I don't skimp on the technological aspects of my outdoor wear but I prefer to go for browns, greens, beige etc. If I want to be seen I'll put me visivest on.
Am I the only person that is mildly irritated when a spectacular view is interrupted by a large group of walkers in the distance all wearing various shades of 'loud'?

maybe I am.

take care.

I suppose it depends what sort of photos you are taking, but I always prefer a picture with stark contrast of 'natural' colours with the gaudy and nasty. My mate's yellow Sportiva boots and green Readymix make for interesting photos, though my grey softshell won't ever stand out. If I want to stand out I'll stick on the orange eVent...
