Love the trousers, remind me of the Bear Grylls Craghoppers ones which I successfully just failed to get in their sale before they all sold out!!

Trousers look good, but for the silly black panelling. The Shroud fleece looks better still, but would you want to be seen dead in it?

Its not so much more than the Haglofs treble is it? Actually I've seen a few in my local Cotswold rock bottom. Looked nice enough.

The windshirt certainly seems to have its heart in the right place

Trevor, I have those trousers (though I bought mine before they had the 'Bear Grylls' label) and they are a nice material, seem very durable but the fit is actually a bit odd. The waist is huge on me but the legs very tight. Quite water-repellant though, and coupled with a pair of baselayer trousers they're very good for winter walking.

That is odd, as Trail website reckoned they were too baggy on the legs on their test pair. They do appear to have re-released them as winter trousers in the Bear range, true! They had them down to thirty quid a pair a few weeks ago you see in the sale, but I did not have the money in time sadly! All gone now too! No stock left!

Like the ME trousers above they had that two colour leg pattern patching in black like the Montane Terras similarly do as well, which is what I liked actually. Some folks do not like that though! Thinking it looked like they were Medieval Jesters or something!

Perhaps they have changed the cut? I have had mine for well over a year now. I hope you find some other trousers you like sometime soon!

Thanks, ta mate! If I get the money again then I might go for some Montane Terras now instead maybe. More expensive, but I only want them if I can get them in the light green! The Bear Craghoppers ones were available in green you see.

Just happened to come across a Shroud fleece in Ultimate Outdoors at the w/e. Feels quite nice, very soft and stretchy, but size was all wrong for me. Also very unpleasant lime green and not sure that the hood would be that effective in providing much in the way of insulation. I'll not be getting one anyway...
