 Our anual Kern Knotts crack auction weekend will be held this year on the 19, 20 & 21 September in a Marquee behind the Wasdale Head Inn.
This year we will have a waterproof Marquee (hmm)
Live bands on the Friday night, shop, auction of thousands of pounds of mountaineering equipment, dance & disco on Saturday as well as helicopters, races, MRT displays, Search dog display and lots mroe
There will be free camping all weekend. The weekend is our main fundraiser and is normaly a good laugh for all there, I hereby suggest it as a formal OM meet?

Yep. I'll be helping out at Wasdale Head all day on the Saturday in some sort of capacity. When I find out exactly where I'll let you know so you can come and mither me, sorry I mean come and say 'hello'. Guy is sorting it all out. Bob is popping up some hill or other with anybody who'll have him....We are going up Friday after work and staying till Sunday.
It's the Scafell Memorial on the Sunday.

I'm easy to spot I have a dog that everyone likes more than me and on the auction weekend I will be running around looking stressed and drinking too much.
Jeanni will be there and you can't miss her, she will be the one trying to control Bobs hiccups

Is it both campsites or just the Barn Door's?

The free campaging is at the Barn Door, which is by far my fave Wassi campsite:)
If you go to the N T one you pay NT prices (ouch) and have a 20 minute walk back from the pub...but they have a shower.
Last year we had something of a Partay in Simon K's tent which involved lots of downing of Cockspur Rum, a wine which was nothing like Pinot Noir and there was some shameful pi**ing on the tent. By the owner. Which makes it alright. If you weren't right underneath it. Which we were. Eeeek.
There will be a memorial service held at 11.30am in St.Olafs church, where 3 of the 4 are buried and then there will be a walk up to Hollowstones to place a wreath at the memorial stone there. All are very welcome to attend.

Damn, 11:30 might be too late. I live far too far south and I'll have to make a star around 3/4 ish to get home at a decent time.
