I considered Càrn and liked the look of the Storm Chaser or Stratosphere shoes even though they are a bit pricey.
But as far as I could tell they are not available anywhere yet! Even some of the recommended stockists on the Càrn site seem to have none of their range or just the Storm Chaser boots.
Seems a bit silly to go on this promotional blitz before making them easily available for people to buy. It doesn't matter how good they are if you can't buy them.
Peglers in Arundel had them on their web site I think. I can't see them posting them on their web site unless they have them in stock. I was suprised to see them on there, so they must be good as Peglers stock only boots that they think are really good.

BMW did the same thing when they launched the new Mini. Create desire and demand then limit the supply and you can keep the prices up.
But i am not for a minute implying that this is the way these people are doing business
do carn have a website? the link in the article goes to search.com. i tried google but there's a lot of carn - and i don't know how to type a grave accent over an a.
Stockists seem to be horizontally laid back about these things; I contacted Ellis Brigham about the new Osprey Atmos 25 after reading the OM review - and was told yeah they had loads in the warehouse...but none in the shop. Recession anyone?
Storm Chaser mid and the Stormchaser shoe are in stock at my local shop at £100 for the mid and £80 for the shoe.No website but the address is Ashton Outdoors 214 Stamford St. Ashton under Lyne Lancs. tel.0161 304 8711
Ive had these boots for a few days now, i bought them from foot steps, as they were the only place to sell a size 10.5, they also still have 15% off all online orders. buying boots before trying goes against my principles, generally, but i was glad i took the risk, i cant remember ever having any footwear that was this comfortable out of the box, ironic considering they were bought online. Im going to give them their first real test at the weekend, but so far i am really pleased, my initial impression is that they feel light, and well made, grip and stability is good also, they look pretty cool too, which is frankly the most important thing. they certainly feel an upgrade to previous similarly priced models from zamberlan and meindl, which i have owned and destroyed.
