Instead of going in at the deep end and buying the silicone coated fabric I plan on using, I'll make a trial version out of cheep fabric to see if I can actually make this work if it does, then, the final version will then go into development.

Just hopped in after googling for suppliers, so I thought I'll finally say hello properly, having spied on you lot from the underbrush for a while...

Great forum, and I'm well excited about this thread!

Planning to make a quilt, customize my bison tinde 3 and make a light tarp-tipi for solo/light pack use - silshelter based or kifaru paratarp/paratipi based, not quite sure yet. All in good time...

Also have most things for a first tent stove based on heineken keg (inspired by tinny from minibulldesign.com - he calls his hootch heater). The only thing I find hard to find is stovepipe material. I'd like to use the thin spring sheet steel style the kifaru stoves use. Anyone got experience finding the right sheet steel for it here in the UK?

Also, in case anyone was unlucky with the German site mentioned by earlier post, there was just one "e" too many. link is:
