Wife and I considering a few days around Glencoe early June. Lots of guest houses and hotels on internet, but does anybody have any particular recommendation? Bunk houses and camp sites out on this trip!

Thanks Lindsay - looks nice, but I'd rather keep it to less than £100 per night. Hope you haven't got lost on my account Simon.

How about the Kingshouse? Makes it very easy to get to the pub!

I stayed at the Callart View about 18 months back. The owners were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent - a good start to a day out in the hills. They're just up the road about 1km from Glencoe towards Kinlochleven, just across the road from the camp site (can't remember it's name). It's easily walkable from Glencoe and no problem if you're in a car. Cost was very reasonable too. Can't remember exactly but less than £30 for a single.

Thanks ALS - that's on the list for reason you mentioned. I'll look that one up Craig.

Sand Dancer, if you're looking for good places to eat ... Crafts and Things in Glencoe Village does superb coffee and home-baking and simple snacks/meals, or if you fancy a special meal, then the Seafood Cafe on the road into Kinlochleven is splendid. Sitting outside there on a sunny day with a plate of langoustines and looking out over the water is memorable.

Try Lios Mhoire Guest House (Tel. 01855 811198) virtually next door to Crafts and Things at Tighphuirt in the shadow of the Pap of Glencoe. Run by a smashing couple called Kareen & Willie Barker. Friendly welcome, grub is excellent and rates are more than reasonable.
