Hello,

Am looking to go on a walking and MTB holiday in Austria this August. Last year went to Chamonix and stayed at an excellent campsite there (Camping Mer de Glace). Have never been to Austria, have been given names of 2 or 3 different areas by friends but would welcome ideas of places to visit and sites to stay at.

Will have own tent, bikes etc , we are self sufficient but are keen to have some creature comforts and looking for an area with a good mix of walking and cycling options.

Any ideas please?

Am looking at the Nockberge area in the Carinthian region, everything I look at on the internet is lovely and glossy. I was looking for experiences from anyone who has travelled there.
