Looks good, Mac. Try the /flissure option next; solves the packing problem...

£6.20 for 0.3x0.5m of 0.15mm foil? Yikes! You can buy a big party BBQ for less than that, and get foil, charcoal and a nice expanded steel mesh.

a very professional look rmac. i wish i was that "handy".

Parky, it's really pretty simple to make. If you can cut things out with scissors and hit things with a hammer (to punch the holes), you can make it. It needs none of the finesse needed to make meths burners, for instance. Tell him, Mac...

scissors?! horror! they won't let me have anything sharp and/or pointed. now hammers i'm good with.

Aye but 2m is only £14.95 and you're sure to need more than one Parky it's easy, the only tricky bit was the holes but I borrowed a hole punch from my mate (the Hennessey Hammock guy) Get the template from Captain, open it in word and change the measurments to suit your pot, 'Save As' mypot .ps. Download Ghostscript and GSview and install/run. Double click on the file mypot.ps and it'll open in GSview (if it doesn't 'Choose Program and select GSview) You might only see half of the template but click on the buttons on the tool bar to move forward to page 2 and you'll get the other half. Print them off, tape them together and tape them to the foil sheet (I used masking tape) and cut it out with a big pair of scissors (*with rounded ends ). Use something to punch the holes (a piece of copper tubing from a modellers shop perhaps with the edge sharpened??) Job Done. (does that sound ok Captain?) * Edit

That sounds almost do-able, do you have a link to CP's template?
|
 |
 > (does that sound ok Captain?) Yup. It can be even easier than that, as most printers use PostScript as their native language. Provided you're prepared to waste a few pages of paper, you can usually just send the template .ps file direct to the printer, and it'll print. GSView just allows you to check you've got the template right, and print only the pages you need. You don't even have to change the name when you edit the file... I'd recommend punching the holes before you cut it out, as cutting it out usually separates the template from the foil... PM me with a contact email address for the template and detailed instructions.
