Got to agree about those zips - not great at all.  Perhaps they're trying to jump on the 80s revivalist bandwagon that's been occuring over the last few months.

The Montane stuff isn't quite as bad, IMO.

I think the 'retro look' harks back to the 70's; think (real)Peter Storm cagoules, and pictures of Bonners on Everest.  I made similar comments when Bergchav released their Ator range in 2007...

I was just thinking the use of contrasting neon - seems to fit in very well with the current 80s revival of wearing something black with one or more neon-coloured items.

Worst thing about this current 80s revival is that bloody La Roux.  Ghastly.

we got a bunch of this in today: the shield jacket looks good, a much thinner WINDSTOPPER that's closer to the uber-thin stuff I have on my Halo Vest, so it should breathe better. Ditto for the G2 pants, a way less butch, industrial feel.

Apart from that, the range looks almost identical to last year, apart from one ridiculously heavy women's softshell that looks very pub-wearable, if hardly suitable for much else, let alone active use. I'm sure it will be a hit our BBC customers. I hope we're getting that women's MRT jacket: the men's version is way tougher than the Changabang for only marginally more money.

oh, and the changabang has a new, hideous colour. Two-tone neon, would you believe.

Ouch. Paramo's designers strike again?

Actually their website seems to have an equally horrible sort of two tone orangey mud style option. Seems a hard decision which is worse (and a few saner ones.).
