Couldn't agree more. I went to Snowdonia last Friday til Sunday as well. We did Tryfan ( as you Rob, not walked it for 20 years), the Glyders and Devil's Kitchen on Saturday in almost blazing sunshine throughout. We really could not have picked a better weekend.
Cadair Idris on Friday and Snowdon on Sunday completed a fantastic weekend.
I uploaded a stack of photos to my pbase galleries for those with a spare 'few' minutes.
Some top photo's Mark. Amazing weather, I didn't even recognise Snowdon until a few pics in. People bathing in Glaslyn... bloody hell, what ever next!!!
Mark some brilliant pics, thanks for sharing them, what a weekend you must have had.
I've always wanted to try Tryfan, but I suffer with vertigo and just don't think I'd manage it. I've been up the devil's kitchen and up on to Y Garn and I've also done Pen Yr Ole Wen opposite Tryfan. These were land mark walks for me and I was so pleased to do them. I'd love to make the step up to Tryfan next.
Yeah thanks for the pics. We went up Snowdon earlier this year and the weather was not good. I've been up twice now and never seen the views you had. Makes me 'pyg' sick. Nice one.
Rodney - TBH your not a million miles off Tryfan by what you have done already. How about first trying Y Garn's North ridge on a clear day for safe exposure to heights and then Gribin (Glyders) for the scrambling. Just keep pecking away at it... everyone gets a bit scared.
