Isn't it just as ethical and sustainable if I just re-use my (free with a newspaper) empty bottle of bottled water 100 times like I have been doing? Admitedly the BPA issue is interested though.

£29.95 for a water bottle?? Of course it's not just a mere water bottle, it's a "hydration vessel" with great design features such as this.

I think it's bloody gorgeous, but then I'm renowned for my high levels of taste I'm going to buy one and put it on my hoccasional table with a little goldfishy in it.

LOL with the KOR stones, I missed that.

"Start with the four Stones that come packaged with the KOR ONE, or visit our website to create your own" I want to get one with "Piss bottle" on it.

I have got one (as a present you understand ) and it is indeed a functional object of desire
|
 |
But it doesn't come with a litre of free tonic in it like my water bottles...

Have I missed something in the article? The part that makes them worth THIRTY QUID?! For an average full day in the hills I take at least 2 litres with me. That's 60 smackers for a bottle that doesn't look to me to be quie as revolutionary as they're making out. Padded impact protection? I've lobbed Nalgenes off the top of crags and picked them up after with only surface scratches. Anti-roll shape? We have Laken bottles at work with flat sides too, and they're only £3.50. Hinge lid? Thank God, no more tedious screwing (as it were) That'll save me half a calorie each time I want a sip. Charity donation? That's fine, but I could just as easily buy a £5 bottle and wing the remaining £25 off to charity.

What a load of sh*te! I'd love to see this and the designers being tore to bits on Dragons Den.
|
 |
Absolute joke! £30 these people seriously are not in the same world as everyone else!
|
 |
Bargain - you have to see it to understand.

One can't hexpect the hoi polloi to appreciate the finer things Edit to add: And I seem to have missed the part that says you are going to be forced to buy one.

They're sending us one to have a proper look at. It'll take quite a lot to convince me that any water bottle - even a hyper-bling one - is 'worth' 30 quid... then again, 'value' has a big subjective elemet to it, no?

then again, 'value' has a big subjective elemet to it, no? "If I like it it's great, if you like it you're a deluded fashion victim with more money than sense", is, I think, about the way it goes. But you're not really suggesting that's subjective are you! Pete.

Isn't it just as ethical and sustainable if I just re-use my (free with a newspaper) empty bottle of bottled water 100 times like I have been doing? Admitedly the BPA issue is interested though. I use a pop bottle made of PETE instead of one made of Polycarbonate, so no BPA. And it's free.

Come on guys, you're missing the bigger picture: KOR has partnered with the Algalita Marine Research Foundation, a non-profit focused on the protection of the marine environment through research, education, and restoration.

Meaning, at that price no one is going to chuck it away or lose it, and it will never become part of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch
