Hey Gang,

I hope I have posted this in the right thread. It involves travelling so maybe I have it right....

I have a question for ye ? Myself and my 3 mates are looking at doing a Winter Skills course or an Intro to Winter Mountaineering Course in Scotland this Winter. Our girlfriends/wives have said they would get us this as our Christmas Prezzies.. Yay We are all fairly experienced walkers (winter & summer) and camp in the mountains every 2 weeks or so all year round. As we all live in Dublin we dont get the serious weather conditions in winter we would like to "up" our game.

Anyway, Im looking for advise on what companies you guys have done these courses with. I have looked online and there are quite a few and was looking for recommendations from my fellow OM members.

We would probably be looking at a 2/3 day course as I dont think they would be too happy with us heading off for a week of climbing and beer.

Yeah, I read that thread but the dude organising it is away in Nepal till November 13. The lucky fella.

I'll wait and see if someone comes back with more info about it. Cheers
