Been there today and to my dispointment sad to see its closed

There was just a sign up saying closed till further notice hope it opens again soon I love that place after buying a new Sprayway Cipher gore-tex jacket for £20 just because it was missing one press stud a quarter of the way up.

Whaaaaaaaaaa!

There was a time when you could get some great Mountain Equipment gear at vastly reduced prices. ME sold their seconds and sample gear from here.

They even ran a website at one stage.

The last few years I've been going there, occasionally, they had less and less good ME gear and offers.

What a shame. Wonder why they are closed?

Nodrog.

The closure of Magic Mountain is strictly temporary, whilst we carry out stock-checks and have a general Autumn tidy-up.

It should be open again later in the week.

I have visited Magic Mountain in Glossop on numerous occassions.Nine times out of ten there has been nothing there to tempt me to part with my money. However, over the years I have picked up many a bargain-Dragonfly tent £100,Astron Hoody £60,Xero down Jacket £60,Sprayway windblock Fleece £5(Zip broken but easilly replaced)Sprayway paclite overtrousers with full length zips £20,Lightline Duvet Jacket £80 to name but a few.I can only hope that the shop reopens again very soon as a trip to Glossop without calling at Magic Mountain just won't be the same.

Is Magic Mountain open again?

I came past this evening at 8pm. It was too late for the shop to be open, but it didn't appear to be permanently closed. It has steel shutters so a bit difficult to tell, but there was a notice about opening hours and nothing about being closed for good. Their phone number is 01457 854424 according to the sign.

The car park was a great empty icy skidpan tonight. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee

I'll try to look in when I next go past on New Year's Eve.

I live in Glossop and I havent noticed it being open since October.

Not sure whats happning I know its run by the Outdoor & Sports Co Ltd same people who run Sprayway/ME/Ronhill and they have a office in the next town over in Hyde so maybe there planing a outlet shop over there instead.

I called by at 2.30 this afternoon. Sadly, every bit as closed as it was on Monday night.

The icy skidpan car park had melted away too, but the drive over Woodhead was gorgeous - kicking myself once more for not having my camera with me!

Something is definately going on.  I called about 2 weeks ago, closed, with a small piece of paper showing opening times - closed Mondays.  I checked their website, it was a 5 page text based site, very simple.  Just checked it now, its changed showing Under Construction, check back soon = Phone 01457 854424 or email magicmountain@ronhill.com

I have since found out they (Outdoor & Sports Co Ltd) had a two day sale at there  Redfern Mill offices in Hyde in Dec, cant believe I missed it  was probably all the stock from Magic Mountain and maybe even more.

Doesn't look like Magic Mountain is going to reopen they might just hold these factory sales once or twice a year instead.

I take it that nothing has changed?
