tgo magazine live letters archive

Before i start i like both Trail and TGO and have read them both at one point or another! BUT these section you advertise sound very much like long established features in Trail! Any comments?

Well there's only so many things they can talk about

I guess Polar Bear has a point - we all tend to cover much the same ground. Having said that, Trail has an audience and so do we. Sometimes that audience is shared, often it isn't. So does it matter if we produce similar content? Would it matter if tgo began to produce a dozen walking routes every issue a la Trail and Country walking?

I think it would be very sensible for any magazine to cherry pick the best ideas from the others and then adapt and improve them to their own format.

Slightly off topic but I think Mark Brodie needs to either get a new keyboard, or try to avoid the ? when going for an apostophe!

Just thought I ought to stick up for Chris Townsend here - CT's been banging on at us to lighten our loads for considerably longer than Trail's even been published. In the US, where they take lighter loads seriously, he's treated like some kind of mystic guru! Must be that whispy beard...
