I don't know if this is the right thread to post this in but...

I have a rep in my family for being a totaland utter flake but stupidly volunteered to organise our next family meet (May BH 2010)...

So in order to not prove them totally right I am looking for a camp site in a totally ace location that accommodates x3 (electric hook up) caravans + x10 tents and the group includes 5 older people and 4 children under 10, it needs to be within 2hrs drive of Nottingham ... plus showers!! (I know - not asking much!!!)

It needs a close-by good "thing to do" for all day Saturday and an extra "thing to do" for the Sunday ...

I have thought of a few but am doubting myself somewhat ...

What about Callow Top near Ashbourne?

Very much a family site, kids play ground with climbing frames, football field, heated outdoors swimming pool and lots of indoor games too, plus pub/microbrewery with grub onsite. You're right on the Tissington cycle/walking trail, within easy reach of Ashbourne, Tissington and Dovedale for the olds...

Have you tried Pencelli Castle campsite in the Brecon Beacons - a group of us went there this year having got lots of stick after the previous year's trip to a rather basic but wonderfully located Edale site (name escapes me - just out of Edale in Nat Trust tenanted farm) in the Peaks.

 Pencelli has great facilities and is well located for Pen-y-Fan etc.

I think the campsite woukld have what you need plenty of room and there were caravans, showers &c.

Plenty to do there http://www.forestry.gov.uk/forestry/infd-6y7j65 and you've got theDales andPickering at hand.
