£290 @ field and trek. no flapping unless wind hits porch end. plenty of room to cook in porch. only used it once so far but confident it will be a good tent for me.
I have one, used lots on expeditions up to 4,500m in bad weather. It's going with me to 5,000m this year. Superlite, solid, spacious. I made my own footprint out of 3mm foam to give the base a bit more protection and a bit of extra insulation at altitude.
It's a great tent, buy one now - even at full price it's worth it!
Not quite relevant perhaps, but I've got the original SL Voyager from when it first came out (in '06 iirc), but they've redesigned it recently, changing some fabrics and the inner geometry a bit and the porch door. That said...
I got it as an imo ideal solo backpacking tent, having had a standard Voyager for 10 years at that point, and using it for two pretty often. I'm 6ft and I find for one it's incredibly spacious. The porch on mine is very easy to cook in as the door can open 3 ways, although my favourite is simply to drop the centre door panel to the floor which you can no longer do with the current model.
Mine's stood up to some pretty strong winds and, as Ray said, it doesn't flap except possibly the porch if the wind hits that from the front. Overall it's very stable. I know Chris Townsend's original review in TGO described it as a 4 season tent for wind resistance, but commented on the relatively flat roof as a potential issue for heavy snowfall. However I think the redesign did something to reduce the flat section, and also the fabric is so slick that snow should be easy to dislodge as long as you're around - I might not choose it as a winter base-camp tent to leave pitched but I'd certainly be happy to backpack with it - the only reason I don't these days is that I'm usually going as a pair and we take the Superlite Quasar instead!
be careful buynig the tent that mal has found for £279.99. ring them and make sure its the 2009 superlite first as some of the info on that page is conflicting.
I've got the previous design SL Voyager too, it's a lovely spacious tent for one; it's my winter wildcamping tent and I'm using a Laser Comp in summer.
