I currently own a Terra Nova Laser Competition which I love for its size and weight for when I go out solo on the hills but this year I am taking my 6 year old daughter out camping for the first time ever.
Nothing too extreme just a nice little campsite in Brecon for 3 days and some activities based around that area. Now when it comes to picking a tent for us to use I am a bit overwhelmed by the choice thats available. My criteria is as follows:
Sleeps 2-3
Has a Porch Area
Erectable by one adult
Decent rain/wind resistance (hey it is Wales!)
Up to £60 Budget
Any recommendations from yourselves as in what is good and not out there at the moment
Welcome to OM. Brecon Beacons are a great place to take a kid on their first camping trip, and if the weather's rubbish, there's always the rope and climbing centre at Llangorse.
I'd probably go for a Vango - Outdoor Action are selling last year's Sigma 300+ a couple of quid inside your budget. Or you can probably pick up an Alpha 300+ a bit cheaper. They're pretty sturdy tents, should have enough room for you and your daughter, good porch area with window Not the sort of thing an adult can stand up in though.
Definately check out the Vango range. There are a couple of tents in your budget and if not only a little over that suit what you're looking for. I've had three vango tents and can only vouch for them.
