I am planning a hiking trip around the Anti Atlas in February and would like some tips for:
1.  Clean but cheapish accomodation in Agadir for first night.
2.  Reliable honest car hire firm in Agadir.  I guess I could get a better deal from them than from the multinationals, especially because it is out of season.  A quick look on the internet showed GBP 340 to be about the best price for two weeks.
3.  Are local buses fairly frequent and reliable, as an alternative to hiring a car?
4.  Is camping wild/on proper sites a good idea in the Anti Atlas in Feb?  I am thinking more about pests/nuisances than cold.
5.  Are screw-top gas canisters available in Morocco?
6.  How much would clean decent but not posh accomodation cost?  I am not a great haggler!

We flew into Agadir with bikes january a few years ago. We hired a car to drive inland overnight to the central town of ouarzazate. We left the car there and cycled over the Jebel Sahro and many passes in the Anti Atlas back to Agadir. I cannot remember anything about the car, except it was at the airport and was suitable. It was a local firm. We drove towards ouarzazate and slept in a tent beside the car. We never used a bus but there were buses and minbuses on the roads everywhere, including tracks in the jebel sahro where I did not expect them. We camped wild every night except once in the grounds of a hotel and once a hotel in Tazentout. The hotel was central and sort of french Colonial so sort of old posh. As I remember we thought that cheap, but not as cheap as wild camping. There were no pest or nuisances but kids in some villages were a nuisance so we were careful to be hidden. We purified water with a steripen but generally water seemed good when you were high. We had frost on the tent and frozen ground. Even in the main Tazentout valley there were hidden places, probably easier to find without bikes. I do not think you will find any gas canisters at all in Morocco. We took a MSR whisperlight and burnt unleaded petrol. That is a story in itself.

Derek has covered most of it - I have biked there too and used the buses quite a lot; they are reliable - watch your stuff around some of the big depots.
