Hi folks,

Anyone any comment on these sizing and cut of this jacket, the Om review says it szed to fit over a base and mid layer.

Cheers,

Stephen

Hi Stephen

I bought one of these just before Christmas and used it during all the cold, snowy weather we had over the new year. Both on and off the mountains.

It's a nice jacket and works well, however I did find that the sizing was a bit on the small side. I normally take a size medium in 95% of the outdoor clothes I buy but I found this jacket to be a little tight around the chest area.

Every where else it fits perfect, the sleeves are just right as is the length of the jacket but maybe 2 inches more room around the chest and it would be perfect. Just to say I have a 40in chest so I'm an 'average' size medium.

I have worn the jacket over a base layer and an Arcteryx Atom Hoody and found it has just enough room to loft up.

I couldn't try the jacket on before buying it as I purchased it online from a shop in the UK (I'm in Ireland) and I presumed that a Medium would fit ok!!

If I was buying the jacket again I would get a size Large, so if you are considering this jacket either try it on first or think about buying a size up from your normal size if you want to wear a layer or 2 under neat it!

Any more questions let me know.
Cheers
Paul

Hi Paul,

I am from Cork  myslef but based in Belgium.

I take a large in a Rab generator vest but I did size up for layering.

Rabs size chart puts me at a small in the chest and a large  in the waist.

I am only looking to wear it over a T shirt or shirt  so dont mind if its a tad tight, problem is I am in Belgium and non of the local places have them.

Cheers,

Stephen
