I just hope they offer better customer service than the mail order side, I had a zip break after two weeks casual use, very poor for a £200 jacket, I'm still waiting to return this after 4 weeks, no response. I would avoid until they actually answer the phones!

.jpg) I believe that they are moving warehouses at the moment. But I have had poor customer service from them in the past also, and to be honest their kit isn't up to much, far more popular than it deserves to be.

Some of their kit is OK. I've never had any difficulty ordering from their website except that they take about 10 days to deliver. I've never had to return anything bought via internet or in local shops. Odd pricing policy though. Their stuff is hardly ever offered at rrp in the shops (where it is, Blacks and Millets for instance, it usually languishes on the shelf until the next sale) but is offered only at full rrp on their website. I don't think they sell much that way because when they have their sales they appear to have mountains of stock of all sizes and colours. That's the only time I buy online from them. I think they should have a realistic pricing policy from the start. The quality of the stuff they sell is generally acceptable but for the price I usually pay, it's more than that.

Craghoppers quality-wise and sizing is a bit hit and miss. I like my new Bear Grylls fleece, good fit, good pockets and looks nice, but their trouser sizing is way off. I have to wear a size smaller, i.e. the pair I'm wearing now are 30" waist despite me being 32" R. A pair of Nosquito trousers I have are even worse, they're 30" waist and are now more like 34" and don't fit me. I put this down to being poor quality material and it has stretched, and even that doesn't explain why the leg length is too long they're supposed to be regular. Yeah right! You get what you pay for their stuff is cheap. I might complain but will it do any good, they probably wont even reply?

Poor quality material? That's certainly not true with their Kiwis IMO. The finish is a different thing, it can be a bit variable. My oldest Kiwis are about 7 years old and have been worn frequently on and off the hill and they are still serviceable. I tend to wear berghaus and acteryx trousers on the hill these days but I still wear Kiwis for everyday or undemanding day hikes spring to autumn.

i've always found the kiwi sizing to be consistent and the material quality is good. they have a 2" leeway in the size and it depends where you are on the size spectrum. if you are a just 32" then a 30" may fit you better. if you are a real 32" aka 32" plus then the 32" will go up to 34". this leeway is what makes them attractive to so many people - put on a bit if weight and you don't need to buy new trews. the leg lengths too have been consistent on the kiwis.

But if you lose weight they'll end up round yer ankles, well embarrassing I haven't tried the Kiwi's I'm referring to their Bear Grylls range. Kiwi's are ?% cotton aren't they so that rules them out for me just for that reason. I think manufacturers are finally getting round to putting elasticated sections in the waist in some trousers although not Craghoppers, bless em' they'll get there eventually Then they actually fit properly, not too loose when you're standing and not too tight when you're sitting. Very few pairs of trousers fit me properly. I'm well impressed with my new 'Technicals' (who?) winter trousers though I got sale price in Blacks, they have an elasticated waist, only cost me £35 only one pair left in my size. Never heard of them before I think they're exclusive to Blacks. I'm not overly keen on Blacks/Millets but these are great

Craghoppers have been putting a part elasticated waist in their Classic Kiwi's for years! Always had good service and delivery within 3-5 working days unless during a sale. Not sure why people expect lightning speed delivery and fast email/call response during sales anyway considering the volume of orders that must be being placed.

I've never had a problem with the Classic Kiwi's. I've ordered from Craghoppers on line several times and returned things, and although its a bit slow (returns seem to take around 5 weeks to get credited) I've never had any difficulties.

I have several pairs of Kiwis. They do have an elasticated waist and are spot on size wise. They are great as general walking trousers and I've been everywhere in them. I'm just looking to move up to a more technical stretch mountain trouser now. The rest of the kit is a bit more average. I had a Kiwi jacket, it's reasonably waterproof but does get heavy when wet and the fleeces are okay but I have moved on to Berghaus kit which I find is much better. You get what you pay for I guess, The customer service is crap though, they never answer emails.
