Walking and Climbing

Thinking of going up Glen Tilt to Carn a Chlamain tomorrow. I was at Lochavroin bothy at the weekend and climbed Creag Raineach, no snow on the track and just patches  and melting snowfields on the hill, I was wondering what the snow was like further south especially on the Tilt track and the hills, I was half thinking of maybe taking the bike if the track was ok, anybody have any info? cheers

Well I did'nt take the bike and I had a great if mixed day. Beautiful walk up Glen Tilt, Saw quite a few dead deer on the way up the hill, one looked like it had just gone to sleep, must have been a really hard winter for them. Big patches of snow above 2000ft, saw a few white hares running from patch to patch. Very poor visibility on the summit ridge and some snow showers, had to take a bearing from the summit as I could see barely nothing. Typically it cleared when I dropped down! I saw a lot of bird life, a buzzard, 2 ravens and quite a few Oystercatchers, it must be spring now!!!! Please!!!
