 Hurrah, at last!
the exos has been revamped and theyve got rid of that awful grey and orange colour.
i must resist i must resist i must...
hopefully by 2011 i'll have gone off it.

Wanna buy a 2nd hand grey/orange Exos Gordy? I'd rather have black and green
|
 |
Tis rather tasty looking...In green and black! maybe its because i keep thinking of 'green and blacks' i really dont need one. i have 5 rucksacks already
|
 |
 Typical!
I've got 2 Exos in that vile orange / grey colour scheme, the trouble is that they are such good packs that you can put up with the dreadful colours.

 |
Ach - time to take it up the Cuillin
|

Does the new viper and verve packs have hipbelts? I don't see them in the picture. They look like the Natahan packs, wich don't have hipbelts.

Hi All,
Glad you like the new Black/Green colour in Exos, we think it looks pretty sharp and proves that we do listen to the feedback from OM users...
The Viper and Verve packs all have removable webbing waistbelts.
Thanks for the comments,
Rob

Yep, the Viper and Verve packs do have belts, though just minimal, thin straps to keep them in place. I'll try and do a quick blog post with images of the Viper 4 that's currently sitting next to my desk.

It's good to see Osprey taking on the moans about different colours. These lot are lovely and should roar off the shelves.

apologies if I'm being a bit dim and have missed something obvious, but what does this do?

It's a new innovation from Osprey called LidLock. You can quickly and easily attach/remove a bike helmet from the pack, it also works for any climbing helmets that have vent slots (most do). We first introduced this feature on our Raptor bike hydration packs, so many people commented they would like to see it on Talon we added it to the 22L and below sizes for S'11.
You can see the way a helmet attaches at this link (top right green pack).

Yep, as Rob says, it's a shock-corded plate that slips through the vents in a helmet and holds it in place, the cord you can see on the lower right with a toggle on the end is the adjuster, I think, pull to tighten. Works very well on the Raptor and should do the job on the Talon and new Verve and Viper packs too.

Rob, Jon - thanks, that makes sense.

Oh, I'm using the Talon 33 for some time, and my biggest problem is the lack of that "aluminum rail with composite side struts for superb load control" that is present in the 44L version. When not packed fully, stuff always protrudes into my back . It seems the 33L is large enough (as well) to have a proper weight control. Does anyone know if the 2011 version will have them?

Hi Rob, Any plan for a redesigned Argon? I think it's time for another facelift
|

Aside from being 1 L smaller, what is the difference (H, W, D) between the 2 L Res. and the 3 L Res.? I own a Manta 30 S/M and would like to gain a little more capacity but still carry a fair amt of water.
|
 |
When can I get hold of an exos 46 in black and green. Don't need it today as I'm recovering from a rotator cuff repair but hope to be carrying a pack in march time. Dont it just bite when the local sports centre is putting the final touches to a new climbing wall and I cannot touch it for a few months!!!!!!

I forgot to add to Ron stokleys comments about 2 and 3l query. As somone pointed out to myself this year it is better to have a 2 litre bladder and carry a 3rd litre in a bottle for the reason that you cannot tell when your bladder is about to run dry and having the 3rd litre gives you opportunity to find a water supply. PS I like the source brand for bladder

I have the jungle color. Its really like a lime green and Really dark green blue mix. - not black.
