yes same problems with condensation with the TN Voyager, (tryed allsorts to help prevent)

My wife and i used it for 3 months through Norway, Sweden and Eastern Europe in winter and nearly always i woke up with my RAB sleeping bag wet which is very uncomftable not to mention dangerous. My wifes bag was a bit water resistant lucky for her !

I thought maybe it was just the really cold conditions but a recent camp in Scotland in the last part of summer and same thing - wet and dripping from the roof.

Think i will try putting the sponge thing between the inner and outer. hmmmm.

Condensation is a fact of life if you have a waterproof surface for moist air to condense on.  Ventilation can help but on days where everything is covered in dew there's really no getting away from it.

I'm surprised it's falling on and then getting through the inner though.  It should only hit the inner in odd droplets which ought to roll off.

Pete.

It is s problem that is exaserbated(?) by modern tent designs IMO.  With Traditional 'A' shaped tents, condensation runs off harmlessly, on geodesic or tunnel tents it often gathers at the top before dropping onto the inner and/or occupants.

Agree with you there Steve, condensation was never as serious
with the A frame designs. I still use one for selected routes
or weather situations. I also have the TN Solo but even this
has a condensation problem in some situations.
I think as has been said materials have changed and behave
almost like PVC. A bit like the early waterproofs really.
Hundred percent waterproof but left you wet through inside.
Just don't expect to stay dry every time and you'll
enjoy your trips. Cheers.
