at the outdoors show on Saturday? I think officially it is out Monday.
Def going to take a subscription out at the show.

 Hi Darren,
Be assured there will be plenty of subs deals, competitions and other attractions at the tgo stand. In fact more prizes, draws and give-aways than we've ever given away before.
The tgo team of Cameron McNeish, Chris Townsend, Fergal Macerlean (who's my stunt double for the next six months while I head for the Pacific Crest Trail), Mhairi Prentice and Lynne Howard, left for Birmingham this morning leaving poor old me to hold the fort.
Head along to the stand to see them in their shiny new corporate uniform - compliment them on their logo-ed hats, fleece vests and polo shirts. Please don't poke fun - the tgo team is very style conscious and fashion aware. But they're wearing the new corporate uniform anyway!
Afraid the May issue of the mag isn't out until Thursday but pick it up anyway - there's a great competition to win a free trip to Austria AND THE TIME IN WHICH YOU HAVE TO ENTER IT IS QUITE SHORT! That's cos we want to announce the winner in our June edition, to coincide with our wonderful, unique, shiny, bumper special (enough superlatives) guide to walking in Austria.

Will we be able to enter that compo on the stand or have an email entry option?
Don't think so - I think it's a matter of a quick phone call. But the competitions on the stand will keep you occupied until then.
Worth noting that because there's only a short time to enter, and because it's a phone-in comp, you're morelikely to stand a good chance of winning if you chose to enter.
Darren, email me at john.manning@tgomagazine.co.uk and I'll let you know about the upcoming subs offers so you can chose what suits you best now, before you head for the show.
John, is that an invitation to Darren only? I may be interested in a subscription too - unless you need another experienced magazine journalist :)
Darren - check your email, I've sent the details.
Cheers,
John

 Dave,
Drop me a line!
Cheers, John

Thanks for the email John. Hope you have a great time on the PCT, and that you stay blister free.
John, went to the TGO stand today. Got the 2 yr sub deal, which was great. Thanks to Cameron for the pen and car sticker, it was good to see him preparing good bags in the new uniform. Good location for the stand as well, right next to the pub!
 Many cheers Darren,
Glad you liked the uniform! Cameron never told me that they were based next to the pub - that expalins why he seems to have enjoyed himself so much!
As for the Lake District this weekend... just wet wet wet!
John, didn't want to ask on the stand as everyone was so busy, but how do I buy a TGO mug?
And I have to admit I was a bit awe struck to see the TGO team there. I mean Cameron in the flesh and Chris looking suitable "outbackish"! Luckily I didn't open my mouth to embarass myself.
plus the very nice ladies too :-D
On the talking to Cameron bit... what do you talk to such a "walking guru" about? His experience is far greater than mine. And saying "I really like the mag" sounds so, er dorky. Or come to think of it even Chris, could ask for gear advice I suppose but he must be sick and tired of having that sort of question thrown at him.
Darren, Chris will talk about gear til the cows come home. He lives, eats and breathes the stuff. But I've found that Neil Young's music is one big distraction for him - he can talk Neil Young almost as incessantly as I talk Beach Boys.
As for Cameron, get him on the subjects of access, wind "farms", deer culls, editorial budgets... the list is endless!
But ey up lad - tha' talks about wanting to chat to them two hairy mud sploshers when there's them two pretty girls on the stand...? I dunno... I know who I'd rather chat to!
The one thing I did notice (or not) was there was no mention of OM on the stand. Either that or my failing eyes missed it.
John I also know who I'd rather chat to when I have the wife around too!
Went and got my last issue from the newstand today, and looking forward to getting it in the post from next month. And already entered the compo.
And amazing the latest issue covers Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. Which I am doing at the start of May.
Now to try and make it look like I am working while reading the mag!
