.jpg) For robust there's always the British army bivy bags, usually several on ebay or check you local surplus shop. Relatively heavy though.
.jpg) Alpkit Hunka a really good bivy. I've had mine two years and seen plenty of use.I had mine shortened about a foot and I am "five eleven" plenty of space for moving about.I must add I never sleep with my head covered by the sleeping bag or bivy. I generally wear a Heli.Han.thin fleece balaclava.Cheers.

I like my British army bivy bag, there's plenty of room in it and it's tough as old... army boots. But as NickNick sayw, it's not the lightest thing around. I guess it depends partly what you want it for.
.jpg) Waldo, why did you have it shortened and by whom please?
.jpg) NickNick,As mentioned, because I only sleep with a bag up to my shoulders ,the bag was at least twelve inches too long and often rode up the end of the tent. Its obviously lighter but I did,n't do it for that reason.I shortened it myself, it's no problem. Cut it, fold the cut sides inwards about four inches and sew around. Next put the two sides together, fold at two inches and finally sew this two, three, four times.Like a four inch hem. I have to agree with Kate here the british army bag has no equal except perhaps the New Zealand army bag. They are certainly heavier, but, if you have a bad site problem this is the bag.Almost room for your kit in the bag with you.My army bivy is at least 20yrs.old. still in use. Cheers.

Yes NickNick I have one. Only used it once so far. Used with a Softee 9, in a tent, I ended up that warm, (bag to high rated for the temp. @ -1/0dC), that I just slept in Bivvi Bag. Seemed to work OK for that, I didn't wake in a swimming pool. Husky.
