Starting out?

I'm harded to all forms of abuse.  At my age, I get loads of all of it every time I turn up to a judo competition to compete against all the young men 20 years (or more) younger than me.

And then there's my delightful children who inform me daily that I'm too old.  Still, neither of them will take me up on a race of 20km across the hills somewhere to decide if I'm too old. One of them is already bigger than me, and the other will be within a year, so they're not exactly toddlers.

do you do rowing competitions too?

Nope, too much like hard work.  Besides which, I'm the wrong body shape to be a rower.

I wish I had the speed and endurance I had 20 years ago, but once you get past 40 everyone says that.

One day I'll grow up, but it will probably be the day after they nail my coffin shut.
