 Yeah red Akto's are rubbish. Only the green ones are proper. Anyway... what's with all this stupid crap about it being a supermoon. It's at perigee, it happens, it's not some other massive moon coming in to take over or anything. It's the same old moon it's just a bit closer. As for The Sun's "'Disaster' as moon closes in" headline.... WTF! They really, really need to get a grip. Nice effect tho.

I liked the 'Some amateur scientists warn it could trigger extreme conditions all over the world, from earthquakes to tsunamis.' So, any quote from the professional scientists? Or are they too busy due to being in full time employment?

the most worrying aspect of the whole story is right near the end... Pete Wheeler of the International Centre for Radio Astronomy said that there will be no earthquake or volcano eruption. If indeed that happens, it is predestined. “At that time (19 March), the Earth does go through a higher tide, and a lower ebb than usual. There’s nothing to worry about”, he added.
