I've had trouble with my feet for years, I heard about these places which are springing up all over the country where you have your feet nibbled by Garra Ruffa fish. The clean off all the dead skin. I had mine done the other day, quite impressed with it. £10 for 15 minutes treatment, well worth it. Anyone else tried this yet?

Impressed with it in what way?

Germans have developed pig worms that work in a similar way internally! You swallow a capsule of eggs and then they hatch and do their business. I don't think they're rolling out as a franchise for shopping centres yet.

Do the pig worms stay for ever breeding and doing their thing? Or do they pass out when they are ready, a bit like Sandhurst?

The mother had it done in the canaries a while back. Loved it and recommended it.

After a days walking if I stuck my feet in a tank of fish would it be classed as mass murder though?

One of the guys at work did it. he is known to have really bad athlete's foot and other fungal issues so I really pity the fish and whoever has the treatment after him. In fact i reckon the next person in there probably walked in to see the surface of the water in the tank with a load of fish belly up and dead!! The doctors have been using specially bred maggots under wound dressings to help with wounds or burns. Apparently these maggots eat all the dead flesh but leave the healthy flesh then they die. They are bred to be purple IIRC so that after they have done their business they can be spotted in the would and can be removed. So it seems fish aren't the only critters used to eat dead skin. I remember seeing a documentary once of this poor, farming region of Japan IIRC that the houses are built with fresh water ponds or wells inside a part of the house. These have fish in. After eating their food they put the dirty dishes in the pond on the side shelf and the fish eat the remains of the food from the plates. Once they have done their job they take the dishes out and they are clean!! I think that is a better thing for fish to do than eat dead skin from feet. Washing dishes is more of a problem for me than dead skin on the feet.

yes, i know a few people that have had it done & they said it was great. I'm a little sketchy about how they clean the water afterwards...i hope they do!
