Cant seem to delete waypoints on an Etrex H.

What I've done

Gone to waypoints page "enter"

Scroll down ( on left hand side ) though 0-9, A-D ect to "Delete All" at bottom, Highlight "Delete All ",

Press enter, it asks if i want to save the next waypoint ( man with small flag ect ) and no option to delete.

The Waypoints are in 0-9, if i "enter" it and go down thought nos1, 2, 3, ect to the last waypoint ( highlighted on way down ) once i get to the last nos it returns to nos 1 and not on to the "Delete All" at the bottom of the screen.

I have deleted waypoints before and it worked, perhaps I did something different

took batteries out and replaced but no change

Go to waypoints

Scroll down

Press LH bottom button, which jumps cursor to the waypoint list.

Up down keys to the one you want to delete.

Press bottom LH button again, which should pop up a menu. Use up/down keys to navigate to delete. Press bottom LH button. You may need to do this up to three times, to get past the "Are you relay sure" prompts.

press 'page' button until you get 'menu' screen.

scroll down to 'waypoints' and press 'enter'

scroll down to 'delete all' and press 'enter'

when asked "do you really want to delete all waypoints?", scroll down to 'yes' and press 'enter'.

Thanks Glyn, Its been a year or so since i used it, I was doing what you suggested before posting, once "Highlighting" "Delete All " and pressing Enter it doesnt ask if i want to " delete all waypoints" but goes back to the waypoint after the last one kept and asks if I want to keep it as a new waypoint.

I was doing what Geekinthesticks suggested as that works but I have to work though them one at a time.

When I had waypoints in it last year i deleted them all in one go,but it doesnt seem to be working like that at present.

Thanks all .

I have a cable to connect it to my PC.

I deleted them one at a time and when i went on a walk today and kept a waypoint it started at nos 25 as that was the number the last waypoints had got up to, I'll try and put them into the PC at the weekend.
