 I am planning another trip to the Pyrenees this year, starting a little bit later this time, on 22 June.

What is the weather and the snow conditions like there at present, does anyone know? Is everything OK your end, Philip L?

I am considering arriving in Lescun June 6th, are the conditions Ok so early on ??

Which refuges in the Lescun Gavarnie section will be open if anY?

Sorry you didn't get any replies. If the truth be known, precious few members here venture as far as the Pyrenees.

Just got back myself, having walked the HRP via lescun, as far as the Lacs de Barroude, and the weather has been excellent. Snow is unusually light and altogether, it's been a good year for walking in the high mountains.

6th June is early for all the refuges to be open though. I got to the Refuge d'Ayous on 15 June last year (having struggled though several snow fields) and found that they were opening that very day.
