I think the burn bandage you may be thinking of is Melonin from(Smith & Nephew). Place shiny side facing the burn. Once saved me a ot of pain after cement burns.Easy to get off the wound to inspect and cleanse.
SD, I know what Melonin is/looks like and it's not that. It looks like the 'open weave' duct tape you can get in hardware stores and has antiseptic impregnated into it.
To remove you have to get it very wet, as in about 3 to 5min in water, bath or shower.
Unfortunately the Chemist I got it from is changing hands, and has closed while new owner takes over.
So don't know if I'll be able to get again, as I can't remember name.
I wasn't criticising for your posting... just saying I won't elaborate what happened to me on an open forum.
Many of the regulars on OM inspire me regarding keeping on with their outdoors activities for decades. I'm 32 (married for 11!) and my sporting/outdoor woes mostly come as a result of being born with a club foot and having to keep finding new ways of stopping it from holding me back. The problem is mainly that weakness & inflexibility on that leg pass on to hip & lower back problems if I'm not careful. Oh... and buying footwear can be depressing...
I just hope that I'll be able to continue to walk/climb/run/row/cycle for as long as possible.
JB, even if I had more information I'd NOT have posted it on a forum, open or not.
I'm 18yrs older and I hope you can manage for as long as you can.
I have "bad" arthritis and know at some point I will need total knee replacements. I can't run any more, except for very short distances, like for a bus.
I hope you stay healthy and do as much as you can, for as long as you can.
