My daughter is at Middlsex uni, Her group were contacted by people from an east London university to make up the numbers to take part in a flash mob about a month ago. It was at Buckingham Palace and commissioned by the Royal Office.

They had just a few rehearsals and then on a Monday I think, just before the changing of the guard they all sprung into action. She loved every minute of it and was 'buzzing' about it for ages.

Google royal flash mob if you want to see it.

To answer your question though, don't know how to get it; they were contacted by others

The one at Central Station Antwerp made me feel very happy:

I must be on the turn

Does anyone want to talk about how I feel over a bottle of wine and a pedicure?

I was involved in a flash-mob raid in Liverpool a bit back, I play melodeon. And drink beer. The Liverpool raid was inspired by the French-Canadian Commando-Trad raids.

Incredibly good fun - another will be along soon....perhaps Manchester?

A lot of them are organized via Facebook. Search for flashmob, obviously...

Flash mobs... that's sooooo '90-ties. Really cheesy nowadays in the hard-core internet community. Only social media addicts with no IRL friends nowadays attend to them

Zuma, whilst being a bit harsh, does have a point - it's really all over nowadays. We stopped organising them when the police, council and local MP all started to take an interest. There's no shock value in them anymore, not when companies use them in their advertising. If you are interested, then facebook is the best place to have a hunt around. You will find some massive groups, like ours with over 5000 members but in actuality, it's pretty much dead in the water.
Or do what we did and organise your own.

I would say the folk music flash-mob raids aren't organised using Facebook etc and they certainly haven't been infiltrated by businesses for advertising purposes. They're done for fun, the craic - nothing more.
