No, not yet. I'm still waiting for an appointment for further assessment. My BPPV tends to be exacerbated by any viral infection I pick up and I've twice been right off my feet for days at a time because of that.
Hi - This is Will from Will4Adventure and I've just come across these forum posts. We've been running a hugely successful course now for some years based on two stages (1) therapy in the classroom and then (2) outdoor activities to prove to you what you have achieved and can now do.
In essence when you are irrationally gripped it's more than likely that the amigdula (small acorn sized bit of the brain) is doing the thinking - it's all a part of the flight or flight response. Mostly it's unnecessary - (do you need to be gripped at the top of an escalator?) So a lot of our course focuses on helping you to use the cortex to do the thinking so that you are in control and making informed logical decisions about what you can do. We use NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming and a form of CBT - plus other stuff too).
Trail did do a feature - see http://www.will4adventure.com/W4A_Trail_Article.pdf
And so Lissa Cook from High Peak Radio joined us too - listen to her podcasts here: http://www.heason.net/Podcasts/2011/03/22/
