Jeannie you say you did an ML cousre, but only get out once a week?
Did you pass the course?
If so do you still use the qualification,
Is it ML summer or winter?

Me think's most seasoned mountaineer's use the term emergency ration's!

Perhaps with the exception of the majority/middle class (bate take no notice)

I think it would have to be an emergency to eat your trail mix.

Im off for a drippin butty......

I know what i think bonk means and if you are well enough, warm enough and happy enough to do that its not an emergency.

Can I recommend my mountain favourite....

Mars bar & rice pudding sandwiches!!....

Delicious, nourishing, easy to carry and if you heat the rice pudding they will keep your hands warm.

The only downside is you that have to eat them upside down as the rice pudding squirts out the side.
