Not exactly a night shift but I'm on the Caledonian sleeper tonight guys; 8 days in the cairngorms from tomorrow morning! . Air-con isn't working so windows open, lots of noise, car doors are open so lots of funny smells from the toilet areas. Very little sleep.

It's been a bad day and it's getting worse.

I bought the wrong blades for my razor today and probably won't be having a shave all week.

Still 6 minutes and it will be a new day, I'm in crew so will be over the border soon, so I'm sure everything will be fine and dandy

Morning or should that be Evening .

I used to work nightshift at one stage, and one of the questions was what do you have to eat when you stop work at 8am, Breakfast or supper, I found Steak Pie ect 2hrs before going to bed was too heavy, Cereal and Scrambled eggs was far easier on the stomach .

A good choice .

If I remember correctly, it was breakfast at either end of the day with a main meal at 1am, having " Supper" when you got up didnt seem like a good idea either.

Ifound it was strange in the winter and not seeing any daylight, it seemed to be dark all the time , I used to be on the C.B.radio at the time and went up ( in a car  ) Beallach na Bo behind Kishorn and couldnt believe the view as I had normally been up there in the evening when on day shift and it had been dark then also .

edit, 5 yrs is a long time, Iwas only on it far 6 months or so.
