Odd question I know, and I wish the OS would put not only the photographer, but the location.

My wife likes the look of it, I dont recognise it.

Any ideas??

Cheers

Yup. It's Tarn Crag on Dollywagon. Probably from Deepdale Hause (ish).

Cheers all,  I was sure that somene would know.

Googling the photographer was one of the first things I did.

Sceptical - as a new comer, is it rude of me to refer to you as a smart ass, but thanks - it helped.

Up with my mates this weekend, which has put the wife's nose out of joint. So better drag her out soon, now her question has been answered!!

Try W H Smiths, they have/had a buy one get one half price offer on - assuming you may want another at some time.

I dont work for them, or have shares

Thanks, i'll have a look as that will save me the walk down to Blacks who had a similar offer of Buy 2 get 1 free. . I think theres about a kilo of maps in my pack for next week - I'm no lightweight devotee, but sheesh..

as mrs nesbitt says i also think its where the path leads down to grizedale tarn at deepdale hause from between st sunday crag and cofa pike with dollywagon pike in the background. grid ref approx 362 126/7. spent a week in the area recently and its a great area to explore.

If you look at the 1:50k maps, they seem to put both the location and photographer on the back, so I'm not sure why they don't on the 1:25k ones.

I'm not sure about the location of some of them, but I reckon OL17 is taken from the summit of Moel Cynghorion, looking towards Moel Eilio
