Awww, go on then - you know you want to

Apart from the famous 'what doesn't kill you' quote, there's one along the lines of 'men want only danger and play' (which always makes me think of cheese-rolling at Coopers Hill) but he spoiled it by adding  'that's why they chase after women who are the most dangerous playthings' - or words to that effect.

That quote irritates me, because lots of things weaken people without destroying them, either physically or psychologically. (Leg amputation for example).

Shellshock didn't destroy Robert Graves, but it didn't make him stronger either.

Nietzsche is a very over-rated philosopher but he does have lots of simplistic qotes, which is presumably why the Amerivans seem to like him (Neetchee, as they pronounce it).

There's never a right time to quote Nietzsche.

Great film and a brilliant performance from Kevin Kline.

As Jamie Lee Curtis says to him "Now let me correct you on a couple of things, OK? Aristotle was not Belgian. The central message of Buddhism is not "Every man for himself." And the London Underground is not a political movement"

I've seen the film, very funny - to say nought about JLC.

But don't know the referance to Nietzche.

Still don't know who he is/was?
