Hi folks, bit of a specific question here...

Is is possible to pitch a tent anywhere near the summit of Cul Mor? I have a trip planned in November and having camped on Suilven once before, I am now thinking of Cul Mor. Any suggestions?

 Thanks

It's pretty rocky from memory but you may be able to find a spot not too far from the summit. you certainly will get great views

Cul Mor is the one summit out of that lot I've not been up. Camping was eminently possible on the others so, given they all share the same geology at roughly the same height, I'd say that'd be fine, too, although you'll probably have to carry up water from lower down. I've always fancied an overnighter on top of Suilven, must be a great place to wake up.

Yeah it was the same on Suilven, we had to take water up from the bottom. Actually when I camped on Suilven it was so windy overnight that I hardly slept! But obviously the views are amazing, and that is why I know want to camp on other tops (having also camping on Stac Pollaidh on the same trip)

Thats my concern really. You can see in Petesy's photos that he was fortunate the footprint of his tent was so small. I'm planning on going up with a friend and an ultraquasar, which does make things harder!
