tl;dr Sticky thread with a link to FriendFace? Here's a thing: I've often wondered how many folk, of the new variety, see a meet thread, think "Ooo, sounds interesting, and then get put off by the inevitable "Yaaay!!!. Let's get rat-arsed" type responses. What's this thread about again?

I'm put off by meets revolving around pubs and who can get `rat arsed'.
and ones involving women , apparently Millysawitch is one.

I feel it may be a subject worthy of its' own thread, Mick But back to the original question; I've seen many, many people come and go on here over the years for many, many reasons best known only to themselves. Hope that helps

I don't hold a monopoly franchise on the organisation of meets. I'm sure you can organise a boys only temperance meet, or whatever, to appeal to new & old members alike. Sorry Mick, can't resolve that for you. I was born girlie & have every intention of sticking with it

Not to mention a fair number that spit the dummy, throw all toys out of pram and announce to the forum: "Darlings - I'm leaving!" And then lurk for a week hoping for a chorus of Come back!

That's a high-risk strategy, right enough. I'd forgotten about those ones

Become a student at age 48....with no lectures on a Monday and Tuesday...or this week, Wednesday either. Bloody good idea. Where do I sign !! but i wonder how many married male OM'ers would say to the Mrs `Hello darling, i'm off camping at the weekend with a couple of women i met on the internet'.
I would have no problem, In fact she would pack for me - (albeit badly)
