...mostly green it seems. And it really is a conspiracy.

I have been sporting my "stealth green" Paramo Velez Adventure to many scornful remarks for over two year now.

I should warn fashion victims that I have recently made the decision to move into a cool grey / black combo, with a flash of accent colour provided by the buff.

Mark my words, in two years from now...

I don't suit bright green. It clashes badly with my traditional pink and white 'English rose' complexion !
As far as I'm concerned they've shot themselves in the foot and I won't be buying any of it.

I kind of like green - my main gripe is that they're all subtly different shades which makes overlayering a nightmare in aesthetic terms. I'd like to see brands working together to coordinate their colour-ways for best performance and looks...

I find 'Fern Green' to be the best for underwear.

I am a Guinness drinker though.

Green. Ugh. My school, Dorchester Grammar School for Girls, was popularly known as The Green School. Guess why? I do not wear green. Thus I will be buying no outdoors gear until whatever colour is next on the list comes into fashion.

So, is this delightful garment from Norrona to be in fashion this year, next year, the year after......

...... or possibly never?!!

Isn't that the tracksuit the players at Harlequins are wearing this year?

The thing is they feel obliged to change even that Its been a 'tasteful' black and white check before now.

But then skiing clothing really is insanely fashion driven. Priced to match too.

I'm told that purple is very 'in' for the lasses at the moment. It's back to the 80s....

I dressed entirely in green when I went to Greenland a couple of summers ago. It seemed an appropriate choice, and if anyone was minded to complain, several days would pass without me seeing anyone.

I've noticed that too.  And the 80's throwback...

As for the 'Green is the colour'...

Percy: (rushes out the living room, dirtied) My Lord! Success!

Edmund: What?

Percy: (drags Edmund into the living room) After literally an hour's ceaseless searching, I have succeeded in creating gold. PURE GOLD!

Edmund: Are you sure?

Percy: Yes, My Lord! Behold! (uncovers the top; their faces get bathed in green light)

Edmund: Percy, it's green.

Percy: That's right, My Lord.

Edmund: Yes, Percy, I don't want to be pedantic or anything, but the colour of gold is gold; that's why it's called gold. What you have discovered, if it has a name, is some green.

Percy: (stupefied; picks up the green) Oh, Edmund, can it be true? that I hold here, in my mortal hand, a nugget of purest green?

Edmund: Indeed you do, Percy, except, of course, it's not a nugget, it is more of a splat.

Percy: Well, yes, a splat today, but tomorrow, who knows? or dares to dream!

Edmund: So we three alone in all the world can create the finest green at will.

Percy: Thus so! (whispers) I'm not sure about counting in Baldrick, actually.

Edmund: Of course, you know what your great discovery means, don't you, Percy?

Percy: (smiles) Perhaps, My Lord.

Edmund: That you, Percy -- Lord Percy -- are an utter berk!
