I think I read about your little adventure in another thread  You could have tried a bit of origami with you map, and made a boat out of it and paddled out with your compass

There's yet another example of poor preparation causing an MRT callout in this  story on Grough. The item is particularly interesting because of the method used to locate the casualties (thanks to Metric Kate for the link).

Crocs do an outdoor shoe called Off Road, they do Croc socks and you can customise them by changing the strap logo. Crocs rock.
