gerald. the disabled river stated that he uses a 4x4 - and it wasn't the ONLY vehicle he could drive - in case the road is impassable. seems a bit of an own goal. it's impassable in a normal vehicle then why? unfortunately gerald i was thinking more of the disabled than the disabled contributor. for all those who do not or can not afford to run a 4x4 - a postion i would suggest the huge majority of the disabled find themselves in - the impassability of these roads means that they are unable to enjoy the countryside to the same degree as the 4x4 drivers. so gerald, why MUST you drive a 4x4. is to actually get along the road. if the road is impassable to a normal car (by mud i would assume) then why is just fine to drive a vehicle that in such conditions will create damage to the road surface that will ensure the surface becomes impassable. such damage persists when it's no longer muddy and thus deprives other vehicles of the road's use for as long it remains unrepaired.

I have a few questions to project into the forum. How do we Know if the "offroaders" are illegal or not? Has anybody reported any illegal "offroaders" and if so how the hell did you know they were? Were you contacted by the police force who informed you that they were indeed "illegal"?
1. Because of the sign with a red line through a motorcycle and NO MOTORCYCLES written underneath
2.Yes (as above) 3. Yes

I do beg your pardon probably my fault or was it not written in the queens english as it should have read Legal "offroaders riding on Illegal roads", whatever if the riders were legal with numberplates etc the appropriate action would have been taken by the local constabulary. would be a good idea I think to get some feedback from those gentlemen on motorbikes that frequented chirpit lane especially the gent that "supposed" to have assaulted the lady that "screamed" so if anybody knows who it was perhaps they could get him to post on the forum regards to all gerald
