From the National Land Survey of Iceland contains 38 maps, as well as special viewing software from the National Survey & Cadaste, Denmark. There are 11 specialised ,mpas of protected areas & 23 composite topographical maps on a scale of 1:25,000 of southwest & east Iceland. In addition, there are 4 overall maps on a scale of 1:750,000, a touring map & maps depicting constituencies & municipalities. The CD also contains a place-name index with other 3000 entries.
The viewing software, VisIT 4.22 provides various possibilities when viewing the maps:
Determining distances & square measure.
Place-name search & printing out maps.
Searching for map coordinates.
Viewing different maps simultaneously.
Copyimg & pasting into other software.
Inserting own text & symbols.
Linking with GPS positioning equipment.
Simple to switch reference systems.
Sys requirements: Pentium or similar processor, 32mb RAM, 500mb hard disk space, CD-Rom Drive, Microsoft Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP/NT4x.
Don't know if it will run on Vista or 7 although should definetly run on 7 with XP compatibility feature on higher versions.

Contains 87 Atlas map sheets (1:100000) along with viewing software from the National Survey & Cadaste, Denmark. Atlas sheets were originally made by Danish surveyors during the 1st four decades of the 20th century. The sheets, which were last revised in 1989, are considered to be among the most beautiful maps of Iceland. The map sheets have all been spliced together, so viewing is no longer limited to one sheet at a time.. The CD also contains a place-name index with other 3000 entries.
