Does anyone rate the Yaktrax XTR?

I know the basic ones have had some bad rep but the XTRs look a bit better.

Look like these pogu spikes

My wife has a pair of pogus - not yet used in anger. I have kahtoola microspikes, which are very good - lighter than pogu, but plates on pogu probably prevent spikes needing to be "untangled" sometimes prior to fitting.

I prefer kahtoolas.

I've been to Go Outdoors and picked up my reservation, drove back to the office and opened them up for a look. In classic GO style there's only one in the box and the carry case is missing.

Well done muppets, now I've got a 20 mile detour on the way home to swap them.

They look pretty similar to my pogu's which were great in the snow last year.

I've never had a problem with GO but it appears I'm in a shrinking minority.

Despite the hicup at the beginning I have to say the XTRs were fantastic at the weekend. After a full day of wear I could start to feel every spike through my boot, but the grip was amazing and without them I'd have spent most of the time on my backside.
